Every day, students will need to bring a HEALTHY snack to eat in the morning. The following is a list of acceptable snacks.
Our time is limited and the students will be eating in the classroom while working. Therefore, we ask that you make your choices from this list only.
Students who bring food items other than those listed will save that food for lunch.
There are students who have peanut allergies that affect Pre-K, Grade 1 and Grade 3. PLEASE DO NOT BRING IN ANY ITEMS THAT CONTAIN PEANUTS OR ANY PEANUT BYPRODUCT.
Grade 4 has a fresh strawberry allergy. FRESH STRAWBERRIES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED IN GRADE 4.
As always, we appreciate your cooperation in keeping to the foods on the list.
- Animal crackers
- Graham crackers, saltines, triscuits, or similar crackers (may be prepared with peanut butter at home, if desired -See grades listed above for peanut allergies)
- Pretzels, Goldfish
- String cheese
- Vegetables - (NO DIP) cut carrots, celery, cucumbers, etc.
- Fresh fruit - bananas, apples seedless grapes, Clementines, or other easy to eat fruit. (See strawberry allergy listed above)
- Dried fruit - apricots, raisins, etc.
- Nuts - shelled almonds, walnuts, dry roasted peanuts, cashews, pecans, etc. (See grades listed above for peanut allergies)
- Popcorn
- Breadsticks
- Chewy fruit snacks
- Chewy granola bars, cereal bars or multigrain bars - No chocolate covered bars are allowed
- Dry cereal, must be low in sugar
- Cheese and cracker packs or pretzel and cheese packs
You may also bring a drink of bottled water or flavored water as long as it is low in sugar. (THE ONLY BEVERAGES ALLOWED)
NO DIPS, CHIPS OF ANY KIND, COOKIES, CANDY, DESSERTS, CHOCOLATE COVERED FOODS, RICE KRISPIE TREATS OR ANYTHING REQUIRING A UTENSIL. PLEASE AVOID STICKY OR CRUMBLY SNACKS.
